
About the author
Alison has written an astonishing forty-four books, fourteen books under her own name, including ‘Monster in Harrods’ about Mohamed Fayed which comes out on 6th June. She also writes women’s commercial fiction under the pseudonym Bernice Bloom. Her books about a hapless character called Mary Brown have reached the Amazon No1 spot. The second book in her new series ‘Sassy & Sixty’ is out at the beginning of April. She has written 30 books under her pen name.

Alison has also written extensively for newspapers and magazines, working for The Times for five years, including writing a weekly interview called ‘The Kervin Interview’, The Telegraph for three years, and the Mail on Sunday for seven years as an executive editor. She developed a reputation for detailed investigative journalism. The Spectator magazine said of her: “She has done as much over the years for battling females as any woman since Boadicea.” She was awarded an OBE in 2017.
